Treat Dispensing Dog Toy Craft

Supplies Needed: 

Old Tennis Ball

#1: Have a parent help you cut a slit in the side of an old tennis ball
#2: Put a dog treat inside the slot of the tennis ball
#3: Give this fun toy dispensing dog treat to your dog to play with.

Dog Treat Holder Craft

   Your dog will love this new treat holder! Be sure to fill the container to the top with wonderful homemade dog treats

Supplies Needed: 

Plastic container with a lid

Permanent Markers

#1: Wash and clean container and lid

#2: Using your markers decorate your container

#3: Once everything is dry your container is ready to store the dog treats (homemade dog treats)

Dog Place Mat Project

   Your dog will love his new place mat. And you'll love the fact that they can not make a mess with their food and water anymore

Supplies Needed:

Vinyl Mat (can be found at $1 Store)

Permanent Markers or Paint

Printable Dog Tracing Sheets

#1: Print out the dog tracing sheets that you would like to use. Then cut them out

#2: Think of a design to use on your dog’s mat

#3: Draw the design onto the vinyl mat.

#4: Write your dog’s name on the mat

#5: Allow the mat time to dry. Then place the mat under your dogs food and water dish!

*Try cutting your mat in the shape of a bone!

Maggie's Homemade Dog Treats

   You will have as much fun making this delicous dog treats as your dog will have eating them

Supplies Needed:

1 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
2 tablespoons dry parsley
2 tablespoons minced garlic 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
3 tablespoons honey
1 egg
5-6 cups whole wheat flour


#1: Preheat oven to 350

#2: Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix in the parsley, garlic, broth, honey, and egg. Gradually add in the flour. You want your dough to be stiff

#3: Place some flour on your countertop and place the dough onto the floured countertop. Knead until smooth

#4: Shape the dough into a ball, and roll to 1/4-inch thick.

#5: Using your cookie cutters, cut out your biscuits

#6: Place the biscuits onto a ungreased baking sheets

#7: Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and turn over. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until lightly browned on both sides.

#8: Let the biscuits cool overnight.   Did you dog enjoy the treats?

   You will have a blast playing dog treasure hunt with your best friend. See if their nose can sniff out all the treats

Supplies Needed:

Dog Treats (Homemade Dog Treats)


#1: Being very sneaky, hide dog treats around your house. Make sure to only put them in lower areas so that your dog can go smell them out

#2: When you are ready ask them to find their treats!


*For a little more fun try hiding with the dog treat. Then have someone in your family ask your dog to go find you!
