New Year's Party Hat

Plain Colored Party hat (bought from Party Store) or Homemade Party Hat
Decorations-pompoms, markers, crayons, glitter, feathers, etc

#1: Protect your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic.
#2: Decorate your party hat with your own custom design
#3: Allow to dry
#4: Your party hat will help you bring the New Year’s in with style

Tambourine Activity

   Your whole family will enjoy making and decorating a tambourines for the New Year. It's time to ring in the New Year

Supplies Needed:
2 paper plates
Hole Punch
Decorations-pom poms, markers, crayons, glitter
Bells (jingle bells from the craft store)

#1: Staple the two paper plates together, so there is a pocket between the plates
#2: Around the rim of the plate make holes with the hole punch equally separated
#3: Decorate your New Year’s Eve Tambourine with glitter, pom poms, New Year’s Eve date, etc
#4: Place a ribbon through each hole and attach a bell.
#5: Now you are ready to ring in the New Year!

Tie Dye Shirt

   Have a blast creating a fun and easy to do tie dye shirt for New Year's. The hardest part of this craft is deciding where you are going to wear your new cool shirt

Supplies Needed:
White Cotton Shirt
Rubber Bands
Fabric Dye
Permanent Markers or Fabric Paint

#1: Take your white cotton shirt and twist a little section of the shirt then secure with a rubber band. Make sure the rubber band is tight so the dye does not leak through
#2: Continue this all over the shirt
#3: Once all the shirt is twisted dip the end sections into the fabric dye. I like to use different colors of fabric die to create a more unique pattern
#4: Allow the shirt to dry
#5: Remove all the rubber bands
#6: Place a piece of cardboard in between the shirt so the marker or fabric paint does not leak through when you decorate your shirt
#7: Decorate your shirt. Make sure to put the New Year’s date you are celebrating.
