Teach your kids not only where the states are located but something special to help them remember each state.

For example:

• New York: Have them do an apple craft or statue of liberty. Eat hot dogs or pizza for their snack that day. Create skyscrapers out of shoe boxes, etc.
• Indiana: Make race cars out of shoe boxes (for the Indy 500), Eat corn, Make barns from old boxes
• Florida: Eat oranges, Create a sand box from a wash tub with sand and sand toys inside, Create a sun craft or palm trees, etc.
