Supplies Needed: Construction Paper Pipe Cleaner-5 Glue Scissors
#1: Draw two circles on a piece of construction paper. A small and larger one #2: Cut out the two circles you drew #3: Glue the smaller circle on top of the larger circle you cut out. The small circle is the monkey’s head and the larger one his body #4: Glue two pipe cleaners on the bottom of the large circle. These are the monkey’s feet #5: Glue two pipe cleaners on the top of the large circle. These are the monkey’s hands #6: Roll the last pipe cleaner around a pencil to make it curly #7: Glue the curly pipe cleaner to the middle of the circle this is the monkey’s tail. #8: Draw a face on the top circle. Nose, mouth and eyes.
Supplies Needed: Paper Plate Scissors Glue Googly Eye Paint Paint Brush
#1: Have an adult cut a triangle out of the side of the paper plate. This will look like a fish’s mouth #2: Attach this triangle to the other side of the paper plate. This will look like the fish’s tail #3: Have child use glue to attach the googly eye to the paper plate above the fish’s mouth. Can also use sticker eyes #4: Have the toddler use the paint brush to paint the fish. Let them use as much or as little paint as they want. #5: Then put this beautiful toddler art work on display!
Supplies Needed: Construction Paper – yellow, blue, green, white, purple, etc Scissors Glue Marker or Crayon Circle Template Small Pom Pom Googly Eyes Pipe Cleaners
#1: Print out the circle template #2: Trace the circle template on a variety of construction paper colors #3: Have an adult cut out the circle templates you traced. #4: On each of the colors write what color it is. Example: Blue Circle Write “Blue”. Do this for all the colors expect white #5: On the white circle glue the googly eyes in the center. #6: Glue a small pom pom under the googly eyes. This will be the caterpillar’s nose #7: Have an adult cut the pipe cleaner in half #8: Take the pipe cleaners glue them to the top of the white circle. This will be the caterpillar’s antennas. #9: Use markers or crayons to make a mouth for the caterpillar #10: Have the child draw items that are the color of the circle in the center of each circle. An example would be a frog on the green circle.

Egg Carton Straw Glue Scissors Pom Pom Pipe Cleaner Googly Eyes Acrylic Paint or Permanent Markers
#1: Wash and dry the egg carton if styrofoam #2: Separate the top of the egg carton from the bottom. #3: From one side of the carton cut the first 6 cup strip. Have an adult do the cutting #4: One the first egg holder glue the googly eyes in the center. This will be the caterpillar’s head #5: Glue a small red pom pom under the googly eyes. This will be the caterpillars nose #6: Have an adult cut the pipe cleaner in half #7: Take the pipe cleaners and push them into the top of the egg holder. This will be the caterpillar’s antennas. #8: Use some paint to make a mouth for the caterpillar #9: On the side of the egg carton write the numbers 1-5. #10: Set aside and allow to dry
Supplies Needed: Paint Construction Paper Markers or Crayons Scissors Paper Plate Paint Brush Hole Punch Pipe Cleaners (2) Googly Eyes
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic #2: Paint your large paper plate your favorite hippo color and set aside to dry #3: Make two holes with the hole punch on the top of the paper plate #4: Insert a pipe cleaner in each hole and make a loop and secure. These are the hippos ears #5: Glue Googly Eyes to your plate and add a mouth and nose
