#1: Draw a star on a piece of paper. Make about 5 stars
#2: Cut out the stars
#3: Write Words on your stars like: Celebrate, Thank You, In Honor Of, Veteran’s Day
#4: Decorate the stars with glitter, or drawings.
#5: Use the hole punch to make holes in the tops of all the stars
#6: String the stars together with the ribbon
#7: Hang the stars in your home.

White Cardboard
Paint Blue and Red
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic
#2: Paint your child’s hand blue. Then firmly place it on the upper left hand corner of the posterboard.
#3: Continue step 2 until you have a large rectangle of handprints in the top left upper corner of the board (approx. 12 handprints)
#4: Paint your child’s foot red. Then firmly place it on the far right hand side of the cardboard
#5: Continue step 4 until you make enough rows of footprints to cover the board. The feet prints should look like stripes with a small amount of white board showing between the feet.
#6: Set aside and allow to dry

Crayons or Markers
Paint- red, white and blue
Scissors
Glue
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic
#2: Cut a rectangle out of the paper (this will be the flag)
#3: Paint your child’s palm blue, and alternate between red and white on all the other fingers
#4: Quickly place your child’s hand on the blue square you cut out. Press down firmly on each finger so the paint comes off
#5: Set aside and allow to dry
#6: Use markers to draw stars on the palm portion of the handprint
#7: Glue the square paper to the popsicle stick

#1: Decorate a piece of paper with red, white and blue colors.
#2: Roll a piece of paper so it is in the shape of a cone
#3: Glue the two sides of the paper together so that you have a cone. Set aside to dry
#4: Use the hole punch to create two holes on either side of the cone at the bottom
#5: Thread your string through the holes. This will help the party hat stay on your head.

3 Different Size Styrofoam Balls
Paint
Paper Towel or Toilet Paper Roll
Glue
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic
#2: Cut the paper towel roll in half. This will hold the Styrofoam balls while you paint
#3: Glue the Styrofoam balls together. Placing the largest one on the bottom and working your way to the smallest
#5: Paint the Styrofoam balls to look like an army man
#6: Allow to dry
#7: Display your army veteran on Veteran’s Day.
