Supplies Needed: Paper Plate Markers or Crayons Scissors Glue Pipe Cleaner Googly Eyes
#1: Take the paper plate and use the scissors cut ½ - 1” slits around the perimeter of the paper plate #2: Add Googly Eyes to the center of the paper plate. These will be the suns’ eyes #3: Add a pipe cleaner for the sun’s mouth. #4: Use your markers or crayons to decorate the paper plate sun.
Supplies Needed: Free Printable Rainbow Template
Construction Paper Markers or Crayons Tissue Paper Water Paint Brush Scissors
#1: Print out the free printable rainbow template #2: Cut out the rainbow template #3: Trace Rainbow template on a piece of construction paper #4: Tear the tissue paper into little strips #5: Lay the tissue paper on the rainbow #6: Place a little water in a cup #7: Dip the paintbrush into the water then paint over the tissue paper. #8: Get each piece of tissue paper wet #9: Set aside and allow to dry for about 5 min #10: Remove the tissue paper from the rainbow and discard. Leaving behind a beautiful rainbow!
Pipe Cleaner Construction Paper Paint Scissors Glue Paint or Markers Shaving Foam Spoon Sponge
#1: Print out the free printable umbrella template #2: Cut out the umbrella template #3: Trace umbrella template on a piece of construction paper #4: Prepare your work environment by laying down plastic or newspaper #5: Have an adult mix equal parts of shaving foam and glue with a spoon on a paper plate. #6: Have an adult put a few drops of paint and mix into the glue and shaving foam mixture. #7: Have the child use a sponge in the shaving foam, glue, paint mixture to color the umbrella. The paint will look bumpy when the child is done. This is normal because the picture will try with a touch and feel texture. #8: Set umbrella aside to dry #9: Glue a pipe cleaner to the bottom of the umbrella. This will be the umbrella’s handle.
Supplies Needed: 4 or 5 Bottle Caps (from soda tops) Glue Paint Googly Eyes Popsicle Stick Pipe Cleaners
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down plastic or newspaper #2: Paint your popsicle stick brown and set aside #3: Paint your bottle caps all different colors and set aside #4: Take one of the dry bottle caps and glue on some googly eyes. #5: On the same bottle cap as the googly eyes glue on a cut pipe cleaner to the top. This will be the caterpillar’s antennas #6: Take the caterpillar’s face and glue it to the popsicle stick. #7: Glue each of the other colored bottle caps to the popsicle stick. Placing them in a row close together. #8: Set aside and allow to dry.
