Supplies Needed: Construction Paper- Blue and Yellow Finger Paint (orange or yellow) Markers or Crayons Googly Eyes
#1: Draw a large circle on the blue construction paper #2: Draw a smaller circle on the yellow construction paper #3: Cut out both circles you drew #4: Glue the yellow circle (is your sun) in the center of the blue circle (is your sky) #5: Draw a face on the center of the yellow circle. Glue on Googly Eyes for a fun look. #6: Dip the child’s finger in some of the finger paint and place it on the blue paper. You want to make the finger prints look like rays from the sun. So go around the entire sun with your child’s fingers. Make sure to press down on your child’s finger so all the paint transfers.
Supplies Needed: Styrofoam Ball Small Red Pom Pom Pipe Cleaner Scissors Glue Googly Eyes Paint Paper Plate Paint Brush Construction Paper
#1: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic #2: Pour some paint on the paper plate #3: Have the child paint the Styrofoam ball their favorite color #4: Set aside the Styrofoam ball to dry #5: Have an adult cut the pipe cleaner in half #6: Take the construction paper and cut out two wings for your butterfly. #7: Take the dry Styrofoam Ball and glue two googly eyes in the center of the stryofaom ball. These are the butterfly’s eyes #8: Take the Styrofoam Ball and glue the red Pom Pom onto the side of the Styrofoam ball. This is the butterfly’s nose. #9: Take the pipe cleaners and push them into the top of the Styrofoam ball. This will be the butterfly’s antennas. #9: Glue the two wings to the back of the Styrofoam ball. These are the butterfly’s wings. #10: Use a paint brush to make a mouth on the butterfly.
Supplies Needed: 28 Craft Sticks or Popsicle Sticks Paint or Markers Glue
#1: Take 3 craft sticks and place them on the table side by side varying in height next to each other. This will be how the flag is held together. #2: Lay all 26 craft sticks on top of the 3 craft sticks. Make sure all 26 craft sticks are touching one of the 3 back craft sticks. You may need to use more craft sticks on the back of the flag to hold it together. #3: Once all 26 sticks are in place glue them to the back 3 craft sticks. #4: Allow glue to dry #5: Divide the glued sticks into 3 equal rectangle portions #6: Color the first portion of the sticks green, second portion white and the third red.
Supplies Needed: Small Styrofoam Ball Large Styrofoam Ball 3-Toothpicks Orange Construction Paper Yellow Paint Googly Eyes Glue
#1: Take the large Styrofoam ball outside and rub the bottom of the ball on concrete until the bottom is flat. And the ball is able sit without rolling over. #2: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic #3: Paint both Styrofoam balls with the yellow paint until completely covered #4: Set the Styrofoam balls aside and allow the paint to dry #5: Cut 2 small triangle shapes. These will be the beak for your Easter chick #6: Lay one of the orange triangles on the table. Place a little bit of glue on the orange triangle. #7: Lay a toothpick in the center of the orange triangle that you just applied glue to #8: On top of the toothpick place another orange triangle so that the toothpick is sandwiched in between two orange triangles. Make sure the triangles are facing the same way. This will be the Easter chick’s beak.
#9: Place a toothpick in the center top of the large Styrofoam ball. The top of the Styrofoam ball is the part that was not flattened on the concrete. #10: Place the small Styrofoam ball on top of the toothpick. Make sure the toothpick is inserted into the center of the small Styrofoam ball. The two Styrofoam balls should now be connected by the toothpick #11: Place the toothpick with the orange triangles (aka: Easter chick’s beak) into the center of the small Styrofoam ball. #12: Above the Easter chick’s beak glue on the googly eyes
Supplies Needed: Mitten Template: Glue Scissors Construction paper Hole Punch Ribbon
#1: Print out the Mitten Template #2: Cut out the Mitten template #3: Trace the mitten template on a piece of paper #4: Cut out the mitten you traced. #5: Decorate the mitten you cut out using markers or crayons. Try adding glitter, bows, buttons and other fun decorations to your mitten. #6: Use the hole punch to create a hole in the top of the mitten. Away from where your fingers would be on the mitten #7: Thread your ribbon through the hole you just created and tie a knot. #8: Draw a small circle in the center of the mitten #9: Cut out the circle you just created in the center of the mitten #10: Glue a picture to the back of the mitten. Showing through the circle you just cut.
