Supplies Needed: Construction Paper Glue Paint Paint Brush Scissors
#1: Print out the Mitten Template #2: Cut out the Mitten template #3: Trace the mitten template on a piece of paper. Do two mittens #4: Cut out both mittens you traced. #5: Prepare your work environment by laying down newspaper or plastic #6: Use a paint brush to paint both of your child’s hands. Make sure to get paint on each finger #7: Place each of your child’s hands on the mittens you cut out. Make sure to push down on each finger so the paint transfers #8: Set your mittens aside and allow to dry #9: Draw a large heart on the construction paper. Both mittens will have to fit inside the heart. #10: Cut out the large heart you made on the construction paper #11: Glue the handprint mittens to the inside of the heart. #12: Under the mittens write “Cold Hands, Warm Heart”
Supplies Needed: Tissue Paper Mitten Template Glue Scissors Hole Punch Ribbon
#1: Print out the Mitten Template #2: Cut out the Mitten template #3: Trace the mitten template on a piece of paper #4: Cut out the mitten you traced. #5: Cut little pieces of tissue paper #6: In the center of the mitten you traced and cut out draw a large circle #7: Cut out the circle you just drew in the center of the mitten #8: Start on the edge of the mitten and begin glueing different pieces of tissue paper until the entire circle you cut out is filled with tissue paper #9:Set a side and allow glue to dry #10: Use the hole punch to create a hole in the top of the mitten. Away from where your fingers would be on the mitten #11: Thread your ribbon through the hole you just created and tie a knot. #12: Now your mitten tissue paper ornament is ready to hang on your tree!

You could even write each family members name on a mitten. #6: Glue the mittens you cut out and decorated around the edge of the paper plate. Make sure to have the mittens sticking out in the same direction. You can even overlap them a little.
